Favorite Movie/TV Show: When there is time, Monk is my favorite, then Gilmore Girls, Law and Order SVU and all things Star-Trek.
Ministry: I'm like the Big Sister of the church. I've been around a long time, I've been through a lot, and I've learned a lot about a lot. I love talking to people one on one, and listening for the voice of God while listening to you. I love the ministry of healing, especially of emotional wounds. I'm also a teacher by nature, and I love the look on someone's face when it clicks and they get it.
Favorite Scripture or Bible Character: Daniel 10:12 "...Since the first day that you set your mind to gain understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to them." It reminds me that God always hears us, and answers us. John 4:23, 24 "The hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth."
About me: I am human, fallible, broken, healed and healing. And I am constantly amazed that God, who by thought alone created everything and everyone that has existed since before time began, chooses to love me. And not me only, but a whole world of imperfect beings just like me. I am honored to be chosen to serve in his special ministry to people in the Everett area.
What do you love most about FHC?: I LOVE the presence of God in this ministry. He constantly shows up in worship, in the Word, at the altar and in fellowship. I love that God has taken such a diverse group of people and made us family. We love each other so much, it seems our hearts are full to bursting. Yet this great and awesome God we serve continues to expand our hearts as we embrace others and include them in our circle of love.
